We are looking to hire an Events Manager for our team at The Saint in Lower Gaston! The Saint experience focuses on fresh pasta, dry-aged steaks, and options for vegetarians and vegans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contract all events for The Saint for 20 guests or more or requiring private space or pre-fixe menus.
- Meet and or exceed set monthly/quarterly/ annual sales budgets.
- Create run of show for events such as anniversary parties, mixers, holiday showcases, etc.
- Engage in pricing discussions with clients.
- Work with Executive Chefs to create and update banquet menus and custom menus, when necessary, this includes seasonal menus.
- Send follow-ups to ensure client relations.
- Arrange site visits.
- Maintain and develop event inquiry log and updates sales desk.
- Maintain monthly closeouts of Completed Events.
- Oversee beginning of events to ensure smooth execution.
- Greet client during set up or at time of event.
- Create upcoming events calendar and distribute to all management.
- Research city wide conventions to identify opportunities for events (Cold Calls/Cold Emails).
- Liaison with venue management to ensure proper event execution during events.
- Rental and return of event equipment to vendors and hotel banquets team where applicable.
- Ensure insurance, legal, health and safety obligations of event, including all necessary city permitting if needed.
- Ensure proper deposits and payment are processed.
- Ensure proper equipment and supplies are present for execution of events in all spaces.
- Communicate with clients before, during and after events / follow-up thank you email for booking with The Saint.
- Responsible for coordination of outside event services such as security, florals, cakes, DJ’s, step and repeats, photographer, etc.
- Participate in the organization of in-house marketing promotional events, attend outside Networking events.

What You Bring to the Table:
- 1-2 years’ experience as Event Manager in full service, moderate to high volume restaurants.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to ongoing changes. Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal skills and strong financial acumen
- Professional verbal and written communication with guests, employees, vendors, and ownership.
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
